A
brief history of the Club:
Foto Cine Clube Bandeirante
was founded in 1939. Since that time it has been a non-profit
Club in which revenues have come from member dues and payable
activities.
FCCB as it is known has had as members a great deal of the most
famous Brazilian photographers of all times, such as : Thomaz
Farkas, Madalena Schwartz, Geraldo de Barros, Marcel Giró,
José Oiticica, José Yalenti, Francisco Albuquerque,
German Lorca, and Eduardo Salvatore
among others.
Activities: It is offered to members workshops ( wedding
photo, basic glamour photos in our studio, basic and advanced
digital , photojournalism, video), courses ( basic and advanced
photo courses, darkroom), competitions ( twice a year), field
trips, a monthly newsletter, meetings, discounts in camera stores,
a membership card, monthly photo exhibitions of our members, amateurs
, famous and would-be famous photographers, and mainly a friendly
place for all enthusiasts of photography.

Library: Soon the library consisting of more than
1,500 historical photographic-related books in different languages,
6,000 pictures and 2,500 magazines will be opened to members and/or
visitors ( free of charge).

Saturdays: from 2 pm to 6 pm

HOW
TO FIND US:
Take the subway green line, get off on Consolação
subway station, take Augusta Street downtown way, straight ahead
for about 700 yd., 5 blocks down. The Club is on the left side,
# 1.108, across a gas station, at the corner of Augusta and Peixoto
Gomide Streets.
